Seasons? ...yeah, why not! (ongoing)
This project started as a series of questions about the seasons. Originally I wanted to register how the passing of the seasons influence our lives in this day, age and place. This was also an excuse to stop and look at the nature, notice the details in it, and then stop and look around and inside. How are we feeling? In what measure are the seasons influencing my everyday life? Can I still be poetic about the weather when the boundaries between seasons become less and less clear? Wales is known for having a stunning nature and an awful weather: how do we balance that, what strategies do we have not to be affected by the lack of sun and warmth? Also, are we being affected by this uniformization of the seasons, and is it really happening? is it true that there aren't set seasons anymore? In what measure are our annual cycles determined by nature nowadays?
As the project developed it became more about the way I am perceiving these factors. This is the passing of the seasons as I see it and feel it in this place and moment. This project is also transforming into a meditation tool. It makes me stop and breathe. It makes me stop and feel. It prevents me for letting time passing unnoticed and because of that I have been feeling that the more it develops the more poetic it becomes.
